To what extent a foil keyboard can be conducted appropriate for EMV? And is a ESD-and ESE discharge possible?
In principle both questions can be answered positively,
and of course always a whole consideration of the system is necessary.
- To the EMV (Electromagnetic compatibility):
This will be realised by an introduced barrier sheet out of aluminium, copper or silver polymer under the decor foil (low resistance conductive) - To the ESE (Electrostatic discharge):
Here the barrier sheet normally consists of graphite or carbon, which is high resistance conductive.
The implementing from EMV-and/or ESE measures is an option,
which is carried out at customer wish.
We recommend to let make prototypes with and without EMV-and ESE measures in the case of doubt to be able to judge the suitability or need of the measures for the standard application by the CE-decrease of the whole device.
In addition we are able to send you our customer information
„CE marking KDI000010 by foil keyboards“ on your requirement.
